I don’t understand why, on numerous occasion, people here have reprimanded me for giving an obscure fact when called for.
Someone asked how you become a bartender; I told them you’d get training at a school and get a license.
In return he said “how would you know that?”
Today, a friend was filling out an add/drop form. Her teacher for one class had a long, Eastern European last name. Across the table, another person said ‘what’s his name’ and she said she couldn’t pronounce it. Guessing by the way both of her names ended in an ‘a’ I said
“It’s probably a woman, that’s a feminine conjugation.”
In return from across the table I get a “Wow Sadie, sometimes you surprise me.”
Turns out said teacher is Polish, and a woman.
But really? Why is it a shock to these guys that I am not mentally a brick wall? I might not be well the most brilliant person, but the reaction is irksome. Fuck off dudes.
